Ensuring quality service

Vacenti Aged Care is governed by a Board of Directors which comprises of a majority of Independent Non-executive Directors who, together with the Chief Executive Officer bring a diverse range of skills, knowledge and experience ensuring a balanced approach. The Board of Directors role is to provide governance and strategic direction and work effectively with management to ensure high quality care and service delivery.

 

The following individuals currently comprise Vacenti’s Board of Directors.

Julian Casagrande CEO

Chief Executive Officer of Vacenti. As the son of Mario and Louisa he grow up in the family business often visiting the homes after school and on weekends. Julian worked as an auditor for a number of years wanting to gain experience and new insights from other industries which he could bring back to Vacenti. During this time he became a member of Chartered Accountants Australia and New Zealand. Returning to Vacenti in 2017 Julian’s focus is on bringing innovation to Vacenti accompanied with the passion to provide a high standard of care passed on from Mario and Louisa.

Peter Sydes Chairman

Peter has worked in or in association with the Aged Care and Community Services sectors since 1986 and has held senior management positions in both For-Profit and Not-For-Profit organisations. Over the past 20 years Peter has been involved in the development of new residential and community aged care services, retirement villages and disability support programs. Peter has significant experience in leading organisational change and led the merger of four separate entities to form Mercy Community Services SEQ Ltd. Peter holds a Bachelors Degree in Business Management and he is a member of the Austra-lian Institute of Company Directors. 

Barry Ashcroft

Barry has over 30 years experience in the aged care industry in a variety of leadership, development, operational, government and consulting roles. Formally the CEO of Leading Age Services Australia, the peak body for the aged care industry in Queensland, State Manager for the Aged Care Standards and Accreditation Agency and CEO/Director of Domain Aged Care (now Opal Aged Care). Barry currently holds several advisory roles for other aged care providers and retirement village operators. Barry graduated a Master in Business Administration and Master of Technology Management from Griffith University and holds Diploma in Engineering.

Lois Janetzki

Lois has over 30 years experience in the aged care industry in a variety of clinical, training,  leadership and operational roles. Lois is a registered nurse providing aged care management and consultancy advice as well as undertaking quality management audits in line with The Aged Care Quality Standards. Lois is passionate about maintaining quality management systems to ensure the best possible care and service to residents.  Over the past 20 years Lois’s clinical, management and leadership skills have assisted Vacenti to excel in resident satisfaction, clinical risk and identify opportunities for improvement.
